Description
Joes Golden Gasolines is proud to present you this Project 1962 Volkswagen Kombi 11 Window Transporter. Some rust evident which reflects the price of the car but would be a great project for someone. Detailed photos show what needs work.
Engine (not in the car) is newly built with new cylinders and pistons the whole lot. 1600 twin port twin carby engine with new tin. The transmission is fully rebuilt by Karl Hutchins. All in the shed undercover, secure and well wrapped with all receipts.
The rear of the bus has an engineered engine cradle with Beetle suspension to lower the bus and bolt up the engine and transmission. The front of the bus has a later (bay window) front crossmember ready to put dropped disc brakes spindles on (don’t have spindles yet).
Now, even to see an elderly kombi on the road would induce a smile, trigger a memory and/or spark a desire. Make this your own personal creation and customise this kombi for yourself or someone else.
