Description
One word comes to mind – SPECTACULAR
Check out this very beautiful low production 1957 Chrysler New Yorker 2 door hardtop. In 1957 Chrysler cars were redesigned with Virgil Exner’s “Forward look” costing them $300 million which resulted in this long, low and sleek automobile with large fins.
Under the bonnet is the powerful original 6.4L 392 cubic Inch HEMI V8 producing 325HP linked to the Torque Flight push button 3 speed automatic. Underneath the New Yorker is fitted with the Torsion Aire Bar suspension giving the car smoother handling and a quality ride.
Inside you see the combination of black and white throughout the interior. The front and rear bench seats are trimmed with black vinyl upholstery, the roof has been lined white with chrome mouldings breaking it up. The dash is in very good condition.
The exterior of the New Yorker is presented in a 2 tone colour combination of Turquoise blue and glacier white. It is loaded with power brakes and power steering, the chrome, mouldings and all ornaments are in great condition, dual exhaust with chrome tips and stock wheels with the original Chrysler hub caps and 2” white walls. The New Yorker also sported fins that swept up from just behind the front doors.
A beautiful example of a ’57 Chrysler New Yorker. Idles smoothly and drive like a dream.
