Description

Joes Golden Gasolines is proud to present you this (in-need of some tender, loving, care) 1958 Lincoln retractable Continental Mark III. It was America’s largest, widest and heaviest vehicle ever built. Ford only ever producing 3048 convertibles, which makes this Lincoln Continental a very rare automobile. This Lincoln is presented in Starmist White with the convertible top matching and black leather interior.

Under the bonnet is the big 430ci V8 producing 375HP and 490 ft/lbs of torque linked to the column shift, turbo-drive automatic transmission. The engine has had a full re-build, it has new brakes (drum all round), new exhaust, and the suspension is all brand new.

The body and the underneath of the Lincoln does need some work. It is rough and there is some rust, the engine bay needs a tidy up, the paint on the body is chipped in areas, the chrome is in good condition, there are some badges missing but we’ve priced the car accordingly.

These Lincolns once restored are being valued up to $130,000. They’re a very rare automobile.

The 1958 Lincoln’s were very luxurious for their age having many amenities. This automobile in front of you has many optioned features. This includes – power brakes, power steering, power windows, power seats and the retractable convertible top, which all works. When the retractable top is on, the rear glass is also electrically controlled, which creates a breezeway through the passenger area. The Lincoln is also fitted with side skirts, 3” whitewalls and the turbine style wheel covers.

This is a very rare car but with the works that need to be completed we’ve priced it accordingly.
